| Dodecadodecahedron |
- Vertex description: 5/2.5.5/2.5
- Faces: 24
- Edges: 60
- Vertices: 30
- External facelets: 72
- Dual: Medial rhombic triacontahedron
This uniform polyhedron's faces consist of 12 pentagons and 12 pentagrams.
They're not hard to spot.
The polyhedron can be thought of as a half-way point between the
great dodecahedron and its dual the
small stellated dodecahedron. It's relationship
to those regular polyhedra is the same as the
icosidodecahedron's relationship to the
dodecahedron and its dual the
icosahedron. In both cases the uniform
polyhedron can be found at the half-way point when
morphing by truncation in Small Stella, Great Stella, or Stella4D.

Here's a topological version. In this version parts of each
face have been cut away so that only faces that truly share an edge are
still connected. Where two faces would normally intersect to cause a
false edge, now they weave through each other without collision.
