Hi there,
Robert has been kind enough to allow us to use his amazing model of the 120-cell (or more precisely of 21 of the 120 cells) to create a bronze sculpture. It is approximately 50cm in diameter and sits on a terrace in the offices of G-Research in London.
The construction was performed by London Bronze Casting, a foundry that developed a technique to build bronze sculptures from 3d models. The process involves printing the sculpture in pieces, creating a silicone mold, using it to create wax models of the pieces, and then pour the pieces using the standard lost wax technique. You can see some more pictures and a video here, including some photos of the construction.
