Hi Rob,
You mentioned how Stella can't determine the compound of 3 8/3 prisms from an OFF file. Does this imply then that it can be stored in a stel file?
The problem is trying to form such a compound in the first place. If I try to do that in Stella, it becomes not-a-compound before I'm ever allowed to save it. Is there a way around this?

Hmm, not sure.
Yes, Stella does store the edge traversal in its .stel files, so once it's right it should stay right. But coincident faces cause all sorts of problems during Stella's processing (figuring out how to traverse edges, figuring out the symmetry group etc). It usually does ok, but this model seems to cause it more problems than usual. Don't know why.
