Every time I finish a board, I get a message saying it's the first time, and the program can't save the time because the file is missing. Is it possible to CREATE that file, and if so, what ...

Just got V2.7. I have to redo the options every time I start the program. How do I permanently get rid of the stats and countdown bars? I don't care whether I break records or not.

Yes, it does. In fact, I can't shut the machine down until it finishes installing updates. I'll check the recent updates to see if there's any joy there.
