Is astro logix still trading?

For general discussion of polyhedra, not necessarily Stella-specific.

Is astro logix still trading?

Post by Whogius »

I hope this is a question that i can ask on this forum

I stumbled on the website from astro logix
That sells (in my opinion) onteresting stuff to make skeletal polyhedra.

I did order a box, paid but didn't receive the prommised an email that my order was received and not the goods either.
Tried the phone number - disconnected
Tried emailing -no responce (yet)

Does anybody know if they are still trading?
The things they sell sold looks ideal to make skeleton polyhedra . Bu do stey still trade

I'm not familiar with them, but their website makes it look like they're still active.

Be sure to check your spam folder in case their emails went there.

Personally I prefer kits that have face panels as well.

I've used Geomag before, and Stella even has a Geomag rendering mode.

Here's a model I made with Geomag: https://www.software3d.com/CupDrilledTID.php

Geomag is magnetic though, making big models heavy and hard to manage, and can fall apart more than kits that snap together.

I've also used Geofix / Geoshapes, which has plastic face-frames that snap together. Panels can be snapped into the frames too. But it's face-based rather than strut based.

I've never used Zome, but that seems closest to the one you found, and is widely known and used. Probably the best known polyhedron construction kit.

I do like zome tool but it has its limitations all vertices live in a predefined.field. that has great advantages but also disadvantages ( for example a seven sided prism is not possible)

Astro-logix looks more flexible any angle seems to be possible so wanted to try it out. :)

No no email at all , will posting more when i hear more.
