Restricted Stellation

Is it possible to include a feature that restricts stellation planes to the area inside existing faces? For example, this feature could stop a small stellated dodecahedron from stellating into a great dodecahedron.
This could make net generation easier for extremely complex models.

Might be possible, but non-trivial. The other idea I had was to restrict it to the convex hull. Or even better, to create nets in a different way that doesn't depend on the stellation step. No immediate plans, but will get to it eventually.
