math/latex symbols

Would very much like to be able to add math/latex symbols in text associated with verices, edges, faces, etc. as I already use them (or substitutes, given the ASCII format) regularly and for academic work.

Just to reply here as well, you may be able to do it already because you can choose different fonts. It does limit which characters it renders from the font, but if there's a font with math symbols in place of standard ASCII characters it could be done that way.

Here's one I found, for example.

https://www.wfonts.com/font/math-symbol

But you'd have trouble arranging LaTeX-style equations which are arranged more in 2D than left-to-right.

Thanks a lot Robert!

That's really helpful and I wasn't at all aware of that option.

However, although I've installed the font (can use it in Word for example), when I choose it in Great Stella and try to write something in the text box, I get the message "Can't load font 'Math Symbol'. Make sure you have it installed."

Also, I've installed another font from the website you referred to, called Math-PS, which I can use in word, but which doesn't seem to appear in the Stella font menu.

You're right, it's not working for some reason. Don't know why but I'll put it on my to-do list.

The font does appear in the list for me, but you can't read the name because it's written in the font, so it's made of math symbols.

Robert, thanks again for looking into it and adding it to your to-do list. Really appreciate it.

Please note that the picture you posted shows the "Math Symbol" font, which also appears for me; it's the "Math-PS" one that doesn't.

Hmm, you're right. I'll look into that too.
