Hi guys,

I just made my first video tutorial about Stella. You can see it here: http://www.software3d.com/TuteNewCompounds.php

It's not really a beginner's tutorial. I should make some introductory ones sometime. This one shows a way to replace each part of a compound with a different shape.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Rob.

I made this using the tutorial.

Its a compound of 60 great rhombicuboctahedra. I don't know how many facelets it has for obvious reasons.

Nice video. It is quite helpful to see you do this.

Question: how did you create this video? I would like to create some videos of greatstella rotating polyhedra.

Thanks.

I used CamStudio, an open source screen video capture program.

http://camstudio.org/

I don't suggest the "stable" 2.0 version, which is very old now and has problems. Rather download the latest beta version (2.6 as of this writing).

Thanks Robert, I'll give that a try.
