Finally finished my first model using Stella, a Great Icosiwhatsis (see title). Experts among you will see how clumsy I have been.

I finally constructed something! Not very pretty, but so much fun! One image below, others in the Polyhedron Models subforum. I'm delighted with the color mixing and color choice options, and with the fact that the nets are automatically printed with the colors you chose in the display.

I was blown away - again - by what Stella can do. I assigned colors to all the faces of a polyhedron and found, to my delight, that Stella automatically prints the unfolded nets with all the colors I chose, in all the right places. I feel like I've gone to heaven!

Rob, thanks for your reply. Actually it's not hard to put in the edgelets by hand. I simply print the whole unfolded net to PDF and open the PDF file in CorelDraw. The "snap to" options in CorelDraw make it easy to apply the edgelets accurately, at least at the low level I'm at so far. Exporting ...

The option 'Show edges" gives a really nice looking visualization. I like viewing the edges that are coplanar with star faces. In the models I made way back when, I always carefully drew these edgelets. Without them, octagrams, and specially decagrams, tend to look sort of "blah." If you can see the ...
