Strange, but I like it!

Re: icosahedron construction
I made some models with parts only connected at the vertices.I did that with a drop of „UHU hart“ which is a very quickly drying glue. I held each two pieces together and counted to 100, which was sufficient to keep them in place. Ulrich https://i.postimg.cc/HcGJFC81/769-D5808-A5-FA-4930-996-D-D4-E0...

Re: Add Truncated Trapezohedra
No, that can‘t be done. I tried it some years ago, using the function „try to make faces regular“ and it failed.

Re: BUG: excavating a cuboctahedron with an octahedron locks up the net algorithm
It can also be done easily by putting an octahedron into a memory and excavating the cuboctahedron from there.

Re: [BUG] clicking on polyhedra face selects wrong face
I had this bug too and I think I fixed it the following way (Notebook with Intel and Nvidia grafic card):
right-click on desktop, Nvidia settings, 3d settings, program settings, add Stella4D, triple buffer: on, save settings.
After that all face selects in Stella4D were ok.

Re: make stella4d open source
IMHO everyone who isn‘t happy with Stella4D as it is is warmly invited to write his/her own program that has all desired features.

Re: Edge-Transitive Polyhedra
You just need a device that can print it with an edge length of 1 m or so and with 40 colours and an algorithm that can display the patterns in the faces.

Re: Edge-Transitive Polyhedra
Here is my first try of a paper version of one of your models: O32b_2. I made it because it is very pretty and because there are only 12 rhombs crossing each other. In my physical models I want to display the inner structure. Here I had to construct pyramidal building blocs with their top vertices p...

Re: Edge-Transitive Polyhedra
I‘d love to have Leonardo-style shapes of them because the understanding is much better, so please post off-files of them too. Don Romano from Denver asked me to thank you on his behalf for the great work and inspiration. He immediately started to build a paper model of the first one in your list. U...

You activate the stellation view, hit on "End" and click on the litle green left-down-arrow.
