Re: Some help finding a specific net?

Hey,

I got that picture from here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File ... hedron.jpg

They must have mis-labelled it. If anyone knows what it's actually called, I'd appreciate the info. Thanks.

Re: Some help finding a specific net?

Hi Robert,

yes the picture and picture in the link look very different but they both have the same name. Is the Magnus Wenninger star labeled wrong so do you think?

Some help finding a specific net?

Hello, I'm interested in making the below polyhedra and having trouble finding the net in Great Stella. Is it correctly named? https://i.postimg.cc/yJtFd9Dx/Wenninger-14th-stellation-icosidodecahedron.jpg I found what is described as the same shape here: https://polyhedr.com/fourteenth-stellation-of...

Re: Resizing Pyramids?

Thank you Pete and Rob. I don't use this software very regularly so I'm re-learning the interface each time I return to it.

Resizing Pyramids?

Hi, I can't figure out how to resize the Johnson Solid - Square Pyramid. What option do I use in the Scale menu? Non-uniform Scale was the only one that changed the shape. I looked in the GS manual too but couldn't find anything. I want to create a pyramid with specific base to top edge length ratio...

One question: I'm using Great Stella 4.4. Are tabs included in Great Stella 5?

The article was on Magnus Wenninger. I can't find it online anymore. I also contacted him for the GS file but he didn't have it. Is there an option in GS to stretch selected points out while leaving unselected points as they are? Here it is from another angle: https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/...

This is the closest I've gotten. https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/998873_543766752357760_634313689_n.jpg I can't seem to lengthen the star point in relation to the triangular part. I've been using all the different methods for merging compounds. Maybe I've missed one or two way...

How do I make this star?

Hi all, I've been using Great Stella for a short time. I saw this in an article and would love to make my own but can't seem to get the same dimensions in GS. https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/996878_543234602410975_167052541_n.jpg I've gotten close by using the "Morph duals by ...
