non-convex polyhedra - outer shell

Post by Hodge » Wed May 08, 2013 11:50 pm

I would like to remove the "interior" of non-convex polyhedra, leaving the outer shell.

Any suggestions on how to do this?

Use the Stellation View. The stellation is made up of the solid pieces, with only the outer surfaces remaining. So convert the Stellation View to become the new base model (with the left-and-down arrow button at the top of that view). Then you have what you want.

This is good for things like exporting for 3D printing.

Thank you, Rob.
Exactly what I wanted to know.
