Thanks, that's a lot clearer. I see you've threaded each of the cells for added strength; what did you use - wire ? was it very fiddly ? I'm thinking of doing another vertex-connected model that might benefit from a similar approach. I did experiment using some linen thread on my previous edge-connected poly, but I found it rather tricky to position the thread accurately.

I used wire. I don't think thread would work in this case. I used 1/2" pieces of 28 guage black wire bent at an angle. I plan on making a large one out of solid pieces of wood. drilling holes will be tricky.
